IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS CONCERNING THE EMERALD ASH BORER (EAB):

Residents should be aware that the presence of the Emerald Ash Borer has now been confirmed in Morris County.

The Ash Borer has killed many millions of Ash Trees across the United States - devastating entire forests.

The Morris Plains Shade Tree Commission recommends that residents who have Ash Trees on their property should have them evaluated by a licensed tree care professional, to determine whether the trees should be removed or treated to prevent infestation. All Ash Trees are at risk of infestation, which will potentially kill the trees.

A list of tree professionals can be obtained by contacting the NJ Board of Tree Experts at 732-534-0982 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
